Shauna provides phone and virtual/video counselling to clients across British Columbia. She enjoys working with adults of all gender identities and sexual orientations through individual or partnered sessions.
Through an inclusive, collaborative and trauma-informed lens, Shauna has a vested interest in helping clients learn about stress and related disorders, trauma, and healthy sexuality during various adult life stages so that they can live their best, most fulfilling life possible.
Recognizing the connection between the mind and body, Shauna takes a holistic approach to fostering wellness in a way that works for each client. Shauna strives to hold space for clients as she meets them where they are at, walking alongside individuals as they explore their unique healing journey.
With a passion for lifelong learning, Shauna has completed a Master of Science in Psychology, as well as EFT Level 1 and 2 training. She has also completed supplementary training in Holistic Health Coaching, Mindfulness, Yoga, and San'yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training as well as Understanding Emergency Worker Trauma and Understanding Firefighter Culture & Trauma to support her work with first responders. Most recently, Shauna has been pursuing a PhD in the field of Clinical Sexology, with additional certifications in Somatic Sex Therapy and the Gottman method (Level 1 and 2).
Shauna has several years working with clients in non-profit, public service and private practice settings.
Shauna is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and holds membership with American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counsellors and Therapists (AASECT).
Shauna’s approach to counselling emphasizes the importance of utilizing a holistic framework for healing, blending together techniques from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Somatic-based Therapies, based on the needs of her clients.
Shauna is also known as Resident Sexpert on The Tea With KG podcast, and proudly sits as an Intimate Wellbeing community partner in the field of sexual wellness and education, supporting research and development as well as contributing to free online seminars focused on sexual health and wellbeing.

Not only does he ensure that business meetings take place in a peaceful and grounded environment (most often at his favourite path along the lake!), he occasionally makes an appearance for local Walk-and-Talk sessions with clients, providing snuggles and laughs for those lucky enough to experience them!
